A founding member of Underground Resistance, a prolific solo producer whose works include some of the genre’s most canonical entries and a DJ of draw dropping virtuosity, Mills has defined the scope and artistic promise of techno as much as anyone. His performances redefine DJing, mixing ultraprecise beat matching with live 909 drum machine programming. Many practice the dark art of techno; Mills lives it. As he said himself, “I know now that the term ‘techno’ is irrelevant. It is what is being said with the sound of techno that is most important.” Knockdown Center is proud to host one of the most visionary artists of our lifetime.
