Facility Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a full-time Facility Manager to manage our physical plant, and 100 year old former glass factory.

Knockdown Center maintains a renovated 60k sf building on a three acre corner lot. Our building uses a complex and vast array of systems and equipment to execute its goals professionally and carefully, while executing within a network of regulations and permits. A successful candidate will be able to negotiate maintaining a facility that meets or exceeds regulatory statues, emphasizes ease of operation, and also strives to improve guest experience.

This position offers an opportunity for an individual to build upon existing skills in facilities management, staff leadership, maintenance, or construction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversees building and grounds maintenance.
  • Supervises and Manages a team of five maintenance / custodial staff
  • Supervises and maintains vendor relationships
  • Operates and maintains custodial functions.
  • Ensures facility aspects of the security and emergency preparedness procedures are consistently functional.
  • Ensures that the facility is clean and maintained according to company policy and procedures.
  • Ensure physical facility maintains compliance with DOH, DOB, FDNY, SLA and any other regulating authority.
  • Conducts and documents regular facilities inspections.
  • Recommends maintenance, mechanical, electrical, and facility design modifications.
  • Communicates workplace safety precautions to employees.
  • Schedules and project-manages fire drills and emergency procedures practices.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of related experience (Maintenance, construction, or a trade)
  • Experience successfully managing subordinates.
  • Pays extreme attention to detail, and remains consistently organized.

Marketing and Communications Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

Schedule: Part Time, on site

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 930a-430p.

Knockdown Center seeks Marketing & Communications Assistant to provide administrative support to our small Marketing and Communications team. Administrative tasks would include becoming the primary contact for ticketing from before on sale through operations turnover in advance of any event, supporting the process of launching events, both ticketing and promotion, managing partner relationships during sales cycles and marketing execution, and providing last looks and adjustments to creative assets. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

– Manage and execute all event ticketing builds

– Support partners on ticketing functions

– Review + monitor pre-sales/on-sales for technical issues

– RA builds

– Include simple reporting when done 

– Manage data collection strategies for all event on-sales

– Assist with flier modifications in Adobe Illustrator and After Effects

 

We’re marketing 500 shows a year across many genres and are growing. 0-1 years experience in the industry. Creative Suite experience required, with an emphasis on AI, Premier, and AE.
