NOTE: The $30 ticket allows reduced entry before 6PM. If you purchase one but fail to arrive before that time, you will be asked to pay the difference between that and a full-price ticket as well. This party INTENDS to UPHOLD the LANGUAGE of this country’s FOUNDATIONAL DOCUMENT as it would APPLY to AN ENLIGHTENED ASSEMBLY in our CURRENT AGE, to BACK this LONG SINCE SULLIED DREAM with some amount of INTEGRITY, so that its PRINCIPLES NO LONGER RING HOLLOW. Which is to say, WE HOLD THESE TRUTHS TO BE SELF-EVIDENT: ALL HUMANS ARE BORN FREE AND EQUAL IN DIGNITY AND RIGHTS. WE are ENDOWED with REASON and CONSCIENCE and our ACTIONS towards ONE ANOTHER should REFLECT an UNDERSTANDING of THE SPIRIT OF KINSHIP. In doing so, the ACT of ACKNOWLEDGING and CELEBRATING that THE ROOTS of much of the MUSIC REPRESENTED TRACE BACK TO HISTORICALLY UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES, most specifically BLACK QUEER AMERICANS, is a NECESSARY COMPONENT of APPRECIATING the MYRIAD WAYS in which DANCE MUSIC has EVOLVED since. Simply stated, QUEER CULTURE AND THIS CITY’S DIVERSITY ARE CENTRAL TO THE PAST, PRESENT, AND FUTURE OF DANCE MUSIC, AND YOUR ATTENDANCE MEANS THAT YOU WILL HONOR THIS FACT.
