After two 2022 sold out shows in Brooklyn, Gray Area and Shiba San are back for a very special Open Air Basement Leak showcase at the Ruins at Knockdown Center.
Gray Area welcomes back Will Clarke to New York for a special Open-Air edition on his tour alongside special guest Marco Faraone and Dalton Taylor.
For its summer 2023 edition, Outline matches the season with a lineup that embraces sweaty and surreal strains of modern indie rock, avant punk, and art-damaged pop. Tracing dark undercurrents below breezy, jangly surfaces, Crumb and Palm each present their own startling views of psych-rock, evoking by turns the melted and glistening. U.S. Girls brings an urgent, politically satirical take on synth-pop that draws on strains of 60s psychedelia, 80s funk, and 90s shoegaze. Grace Ives and Club Intl define pop music on their own terms as well, performing with a controlled urgency and unflinching hookiness. Model/Actriz and Pelada bring a jagged fury to the mix, with snarling, catalyzing rawness.
Together, this lineup represents the vanguard of independent rock and its many extensions, in an undeniably fertile and creative moment.
DJ Tennis curates a special night with Italian duo Mind Against on July 4 at the Knockdown Center in NYC. The artists share a long friendship and history going back to when Mind Against released their debut EP ‘Cagliostro’ on DJ Tennis’ imprint Life and Death in 2012. Expect a night of mind bending music from this insanely talented lineup.

Louie Vega invites Detroit icon Moodymann, fellow Masters at Work member Kenny Dope, longtime collaborator Anané and Deon Cole (of Black-ish and Barbershop) to Knockdown Center. Vega is on double duty, playing both stages. Moodymann returns for the first time since his sold out show with Mr. G over a year ago, while Kenny Dope makes his debut at the venue. Anané once again joins Vega indoors and Deon Cole brings his soulful chops to the Ruins. It’s a family affair.
