Ed Maverick

By
Singer-songwriter Eduardo Hernández Saucedo, better known by his stage name, Ed Maverick, was born on January 19, 2001 in Delicias, Chihuahua.

His penchant for music started when he was young, learning to play drums in the church he attended with his family. He was also part of Norteño and Sierreños groups where he played covers at weddings, quinceańeras, etc. He decided to start creating his own music, influenced by artists like Jake Bugg, Juan Cirerol, and Dromedarios Magicos, and decided to pursue a full-time career in music in 2018. Ed re-released his album Mix Pa Llorar En Tu Cuarto and on May 31, 2019 released a new EP, Transiciones, which marked a turning point in his rising career.

After the incredible success he achieved with two sold out shows in record time at the Lunario del Auditorio in Mexico City, Ed Maverick set on a new challenge: selling out the legendary Teatro Metropolitan. He sold out the show and received a Gold Record for the selling over 30k copies of his first album. At this concert, this native of Delicias, Chihuahua, showed us how he connects from the heart with thousands of fans with his bedroom folk, and continues to do so with more musical themes that demonstrate the evolution of his young project.

He was recently nominated for “Best Artist in North Latin America” for the 2019 MTV EMAs and the Lunas del Auditorio has awarded him “Best New Artist 2019”.
